Conrad together with his crew onboard LG Flatron win the World's Toughest Yacht Race

In 2001, Conrad Humphreys let his LG FLATRON crew across the finish line in Southampton to secure the Princess Royal Trophy and win the BT Global Challenge round the world race.

The "Flatronauts" dominated the race from start to finish, winning four out of seven legs and a further two podium finishes.

They set a new world record from Cape Horn to the Cape of Good Hope and picked up two media awards during the race.

At just 28 years of age, Conrad became the youngest winning skipper in the race's history attributing the success to building a race winning culture onboard from day one.

Detailing the leadership attributes of the race skippers and the lessons learnt from the 33,000 mile voyage against the prevailing winds and currents.
